Rice with fresh broad beans

Ingredients:

1/2 kg, 16 oz, minced meat
1/2 kg, 16 oz, green broad beans, trimmed
2 cups long grain rice
3 1/2 cups water
3 medium onions, finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter or shortening
1/2 cup fried pine nuts

Preparation:

Fry onion with butter until soft.
Add meat, salt and cinnamon.
Cook until meat is brown and tender.
Add beans to meat mixture and cook for 5 minutes.
Add water and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.
Add rice to pot and bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
Cover pot, lower heat and continue cooking for another 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
You can use brown rice in this recipe.
