Thyme pastries
Ingredients:
1/2 quantity basic dough recipe, exclude oil and add 1 teaspoon yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup of water
6 tablespoons thyme, zahtar
1/2 cup olive oil
Preparation:
Set oven at 250 C.
Divide dough into rounds.
Cover with cloth for 15 minutes.
Roll out each round to medium thickness, 8 cm diameter, on floured board.
Place rounds on greased baking sheet.
Mix zahtar and oil together.
Spread mixture evenly over the rounds.
Bake for 15 minutes in a moderately hot oven.
Serve for breakfast or for a snack.
