Recipe ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 (16 ounce) ctn. sour cream
- 3 cups (12 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and diced
Recipe method
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
- Add sour cream, Cheddar cheese and peppers, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.
- Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead 3 or 4 times. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a 4-inch round cutter.
- Place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees F for 15 minutes.
