Recipe ingredients

  • Chicken, cut-up
  • 3 onions, chopped
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can cut up tomatoes, 14 oz.
  • 1 pound shrimp, shelled, raw
  • 2 cups rice, cooked

Recipe method

  • In slow cooker, combine chicken with onions, carrots, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, pepper and tomatoes.
  • Cook on low 4-5 hours. Add shrimp and rice. Cook on high 30-40 minutes until shrimp is done.
