Palisade peachy peach ice cream
Ingredients:
4 cups finely chopped peaches
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
4 eggs until lemon-colored
1 cup coarsely chopped peaches
1 1/2 pints heavy cream
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Preparation:
Heat first five ingredients to boiling. Cook until thickened. Cool completely.
Add almond flavoring to cooled mixture and set aside.
Beat eggs in a separate bowl. Add heavy cream and vanilla extract.
Stir cooled ingredients into egg-cream mixture and add coarsely chopped peaches.
Pour into 1-gallon ice cream freezer. Fill to top with milk.
