Recipe ingredients
- 4 cups finely chopped peaches
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
- 4 eggs until lemon-colored
- 1 cup coarsely chopped peaches
- 1 1/2 pints heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Recipe method
- Heat first five ingredients to boiling. Cook until thickened. Cool completely.
- Add almond flavoring to cooled mixture and set aside.
- Beat eggs in a separate bowl. Add heavy cream and vanilla extract.
- Stir cooled ingredients into egg-cream mixture and add coarsely chopped peaches.
- Pour into 1-gallon ice cream freezer. Fill to top with milk.
