Palisade peachy peach ice cream recipe

Recipe ingredients

  • 4 cups finely chopped peaches
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
  • 4 eggs until lemon-colored
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped peaches
  • 1 1/2 pints heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Recipe method

  • Heat first five ingredients to boiling. Cook until thickened. Cool completely.
  • Add almond flavoring to cooled mixture and set aside.
  • Beat eggs in a separate bowl. Add heavy cream and vanilla extract.
  • Stir cooled ingredients into egg-cream mixture and add coarsely chopped peaches.
  • Pour into 1-gallon ice cream freezer. Fill to top with milk.
