Shrimp tempura batter
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups ice cold water
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs, slightly beaten
Shrimp, peeled, cleaned, patted dry
Preparation:
Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder and baking soda in a bowl.
Add salt, egg and water.
Stir until flour is moistened.
Batter should be slightly lumpy.
Dip shrimp in batter.
Deep fry.
